Terpkristen, I loved Final Fantasy Legend and Legend II, but I disliked Legend III and Adventure, and I still have my Legend II and III. They're hard to find, though, so Mike might skip these over.

Thanks, everyone.
I think part of the trouble I had with Zeromus is that I had been away from the game so long that I lost my feel for things. In this last try at Zeromus, I started to get a better sense for when I was in trouble, and could protect myself accordingly. I had no idea that Zeromus would react to my attacks with different attacks of his own. That could have come in handy when I got in trouble.

Sorry that I left out some impressions about the ending. The Japanese came at me somewhat fast there, and I'm rusty again. I'll make a short post on that soon.

And I'll add a new post about what's next.

YAY!!! Well done Mike! Finally! Well done! A well deserved victory! Awesome.

Anyway, I'd say you leave out MQ. Its not really that good...and the Gameboy FFs, that were mentioned technically weren't actually FFs, they were just some other series that originally went by the FF name so it sold well. I say you miss that out too.

Anyway, congrats. As Sami said, you can maybe go back to all the extra stuff another time and continue to FF5

Congratulations!

I say you should skip the post-game stuff, since it doesn't really add much to the story (and it's all extra anyway), and go for FF V next!

I just have to say that I played the GBA-version of this game as well, and although Zeromus was tough, I didn't have as much trouble with him as you did. But you're playing in Japanese, which of course makes the whole game harder. So you did well!

Yeah, I'm actually surprised that you didn't give any impression about the ending! I know it's pretty cliché by today's standard, but still...

Great job on beating him, though!:P

Dang, I'd forgotten all about Mystic Quest! While we're on the topic of forgotten titles, anybody remember the 4 Gameboy Final Fantasy games (Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, Final Fantasy Adventure, and Final Fantasy Legend III)? I actually loved those old games, I have no idea what my mom did with my old Gameboy games, but I had (and had beaten) all of them way back in the day.

That was kinda a spoiler. And Big D, you beat me to it, I was gonna post that song! Oh well.

Well, now that you've completed what is easily the best game of the first half of the Final Fantasy series, what's next? Mystic Quest or Final Fantasy V?

Dun dun dun-dun-dun dun dun! Dun de dun, dun dun dun de, dun de dun de dun!

"After the victory we are treated to a long and winding wrap up."

Aw, I was looking forward to your comments about the ending.
Okay, an explanation might be needed since the GBA post-games are quite strange.
Basically, by winning, you have unlocked an extra dungeon, but the game is "rewinded" to before the battle. Zeromus is alive again and the ending didn't happen.

And I'll stop before I spoil anything. But the new dungeon is massively entertaining.
