Well, this post is for all those who like the series and want to know about it or get a nostalgia feeling in the upcoming weeks. Every sunday (or monday, depending where you are...) gametrailers.com release a part of their Final Fantasy Retrospective (they also have a Metroid one...). Last one was part 5 (of 13 planed) about FF VII. Just make sure you finished an FF before watching its retro, there are sopilers everywhere! Next sunday should be about 8 and 9.

Mike, you can watch the first 2 without problem, they talk about 1 through 3..Just wait for part 3, they re about 4 and 5...enjoy;)

Edjemaster,
32 hours for Final Fantasy IV? I think I'm running about twice as slow as a normal player, so that will put me about 60 hours, if all goes well. Which puts me about 1/4 of the way through at the moment. Yikes, there is a lot left to do...

Well, this one took me 96 hours to beat at level 70 and a LOT of side quests to do....so it's quite long...

And I completed FF IV Advance (always knowing what to do) in 32 hours with all the bonus dungeons complete (at around LV 70-75). Good luck;)

Chocobo,
Yeah, I've been reading about some people taking over 100 hours to finish Final Fantasy 12. That's incredible, as it will probably take me upwards of double that.

Well, as we've said, the more the games go on, the more detailed the plot becomes, meaning the games are longer. Heh, wait until you play VI, VII, and VIII. Those are really quite long!

SuperMegamaX,
Yup, I can understand that. Some of my first games were Deja Vu, Sim City, and Falcon. I still remember the first time I played SimCity. I started at about nine at night, and ended up playing until morning.

It's funny, though, I'm not sure I can remember the first RPG that I really got into. It might have been Might and Magic VII.

Edjemaster,
Far from the mid-point? Argh. I feel like I've accomplished a lot so far. This must be a huge game.

It's a really, really, hard choice between V, IV, and III, for me. V isn't an option, so I didn't pick that, obviously. =P Between IV and III, I thought about it for a good while, and decided IV simply because it's got the nostalgia value for me, it was my first RPG ever, all those many years ago...
