Up the Crystal Tower!
Posted by Mike Blitz on June 29th, 2007
We return to the Crystal Tower, fight our way through the exterior maze, and head inside the main structure. Instead of going straight to Eureka, we head to the left and pass through the door on the left side. We enter an area that visually is the same as the outer area of the Tower. This must be the main column of the Crystal Tower.
This place goes on forever. We fight our way through a half dozen levels of heavy opposition. Battles are frequent yet manageable. We generally are putting down opponents in the second round, and are taking a couple of hits per fight. We have a ton of potions, and our Devout has incredible healing potential, so I think we’re good in here for a while. We are racking up the experience.

I’ve given up on Final Fantasy III, it’s just too difficult for me at this time. I’ve skipped on to Final Fantasy V, another game that I never completed. Good luck with the conclusion to Final Fantasy III Mike.

Drake: You can do it! Maybe you could try that save game at the Garuda? You’ll get past anything with a bit of grinding. That tower in the town can get you some quick experience levels, and then you’ll flatten that Garuda bird and be on your way. The Garuda has been the toughest fight in the game for me so far, without a doubt. You can make it to the Crystal Tower if you get past that.

Yeah, come on, drake, don’t give up! Also consider the fact that strategically speaking, FF5 is quite harder than FF3!!!
Mike :yeah, farm that EXP, you’ll need it! don’t forget the permanent saves if you don’t want to lose everything…

Edjemaster: FF5 is harder than FF3? Eek. Permanent saves? I thought they were only in the courtyard between the Crystal Tower and the Maze?

Thanks for the encouragment(?) guys, but I’m almost finished by Final Fantasy V by now. Maybe I’ll try Final Fantasy III again after that one, but I’m planing to go and get the new Final Fantasy PSP version. I hear the graphics are great.
