Underwater Cave, Part II
Posted by Mike Blitz on April 15th, 2007
Doing taxes fried my brain. I hacked away at them for the past two days, and I finally finished late this afternoon. Accounting never appealed to me, and working for two days only to calculate how much money you have to pay someone is never my idea of a good time, but anyhow they are done.
The price of all this effort however, was a mushy brain for last night’s Final Fantasy III session. I had gone back to town to rest and stock up on potions so I could take on that underwater cave again. Well, brilliantly, I rested up and immediately left town, completely forgetting to restock on potions.
I didn’t notice this until I’d gone through a handful of battles inside the cave. But I was on the second level, and figured that I might as well take a chance and see if I could make it without restocking. Then I got lost. The interior isn’t that confusing, but after looking at numbers all day, I had the concentration of a flea. After twenty minutes of random wandering and fighting, I realized that it would be best for me to abandon this attempt. I pulled out of the cave.
I will try once more tonight.
