Sami, thanks! Maybe I'll grab a pen and paper to keep track for VII through X, or change my tally counts.

Heck, at the pace I'm going, though, there might be a remake of VII out by the time I get there! :)

Having played most of the games, I can say 100% sure that no games from VII to X include bestiaries. However, X-2 and XII do, but they don't have kill counters to my knowledge.

Anyways, there aren't goblins in very many of the game above, so I don't think you'll have much of a problem. When you reach VI, though, you could start counting how many Malboros/Morbols/Oscars you've killed, since those things are pure devils! ;P

Ah, thanks! That's good news. I did take a quick check at the FFIV manual, and that game has a bestiary as well (and goblins, too!). I wonder about FFVII and beyond, though? Do you know offhand if they have bestiaries?

Oh, sorry, but I was wrong about the later games not having monster bestiaries. In fact, all remakes to the Nintendo handhelds include them, which means games from I to VI. The originals didn't, so I got confused, but seeing as you have the remakes, it should'nt be a problem. ;D

According to the Final Fantasy III manual, there's a kill count in the game, but I haven't been able to find it yet.

But it sounds like later games in the series don't have those nifty monster almanacs in them that count how many of each type of monster you kill? Yikes. It would be a pain to count them manually, that's for sure. If it were only for a game or two, I think I could do it, though. Maybe.

This might be a silly plan that doesn't work out. Time will tell. :)

You're lucky that many FF games (though not nearly all) do have goblins in them, but I don't think you can ever get to 10.000 kills... There's no way to count your enemy kills in other games, either. :/

But good luck on that, anyway! ;D
