MIA: Prince Edward

Posted by Mike Blitz on July 29th, 2007

prince_edward.jpgIn a comment on the Leviathan Lunch post, astute reader Big D just wondered what happened to Prince Edward.

That’s a great question. I seemed to have lost him. I played some of these past few sections much later and much sleepier than I usually do, so I’m wondering if I just missed a point where he disappeared. Did he fall off the ship? I don’t remember him being on the ship, but that doesn’t mean much. Maybe he disappeared during the attack on Fabul?

Humm…anyone know what I might have done with him?

If I remember well, you lost Edward during the attack of Leviathan (not a great lost though…^^) I don’t know if you talked to every Mysidians, but you’ll notice that they don’t like Cecil very much. Which is quite logical in fact. Good luck for Mt. Ordeals !

Edward was indeed on the boat, and was lost in the Leviathan attack. Also, much thanks to you, and about a million other things that have pointed it out, I had a craving, and am replaying IV now. In the final dungeon, but it kind of helps that I know what I’m doing like the back of my hand by this playthrough. =P

    Opale, SuperMegamanX,
Thanks! I was wondering whether I saw three people fall off the ship. I must have had a brain fart. Thanks for clearing that up. I imagine we’ll see all of them again somewhere in the story.

    SuperMegamanX,
Glad to hear that you’re replaying Final Fantasy IV, and glad that this playthrough may have helped a bit. Sounds like you’ve gotten through it much faster than me. :)

  4. Big D Says:

Lol! I was wondering why you never talked about Edward!

    Big D,
Yeah, although that Edward was pretty quiet, I’m pretty embarrassed that I missed him falling off the boat. Thanks for asking about him! :)
