Flying Dragons
Posted by Mike Blitz on July 11th, 2008
We head out of Carwen in search of some sort of passageway up into the mountains. We locate the way easily enough, and soon find ourselves fighting against the wildlife that inhabits the trail upwards.
After a while, we come upon a nasty imp-like creature who takes down Lenna, then nearly kills Faris before we are able to regroup and take her on in battle. Once we’ve got our party altogether, however, she is no match for us. We roll over her and continue on.
Soon, we find ourselves standing in front of a large dragon. We give the creature the healing herb that we find off to the side, and with that whatever was ailing him is no longer a problem. The dragon thinks this is a wonderful thing, and agrees to give us a ride wherever we want to go.
We head straight south. After a bit of wandering, we find the town of Worus. There we replenish our supplies and upgrade our gear. We learn that the water crystal lies in a tower to the northwest. We’ll head there next.
Status: Making progress.

Was that the one enemy that was supposed to call her husband in mid battle? She’s so easy that in my playthrough I had to actually do nothing but heal and defend until she called him, just to get the bestiary entry for him - and he was no less of a pushover.

Hey Mike, what levels are your characters at?

Magissa and Faltzer, were the characters names. And no, they weren’t imps, just some random bad guys out to get you. ;D
In my opinion they had potential to become minor recurring comic-relief villains, but that role was already reserved for another person… *insinuating humming*

Heh heh, I love that character you’re referring to, especially since he has his own theme music. But I think Mike here has no idea what we’re talking about. And is the GBA-version easified, ’cause the Playstation version sounds alot harder.

Heh heh. Yup. I’m pretty lost. Which is normal, so no biggie.
So far the game has been pretty easy, I think. I just died for the first time, but I think I wandered into a place I’m not supposed to be yet. Other than that, I’ve been rolling over things.
Big D,
I believe my characters were about Level 10/11 at this point. I’m a bit beyond here now (about two hours beyond, to be exact).

Yeah, I love that character too that we’re all talking about and mystifying Mike in the process ^_^

A little late to chime in, but I just want to make it known that the music that plays when you’re riding the dragon on the world map, “The Dragon Spreads It’s Wings” is one of the best tracks in an outstanding soundtrack.
