Demon Wall

I knew it. I just knew Final Fantasy IV wouldn’t let us off this easy. Just as I start to think that we’re safe, the cave rumbles and shakes, and we’re attacked by a massive Demon Wall, which makes those doors we fought before look like a flimsy veil. The massive structure slowly edges closer to us as we hammer away at it. It appears to be trying to crush us in addition to its steady rain of attacks \\.
This appears to be a formidable opponent, but once again Rydia’s potent spell collection helps us out. In a recent level gain, she learned a new fire spell, and she gives it a try on the Demon Wall. The spell hits for over 4,000 points of damage. Encouraged, we continue to hammer away on the door as it grinds slowly toward our party.
The thing never really had a chance. Rydia’s rain of fire is too much for the Demon Wall to take. Before it gets halfway to us, the thing explodes. We’re safe, for the moment.
With the dark crystal in our hands, we continue our way out of the Sealed Cave. It appears as if we’ve done it this time! We’ve finally gotten a crystal!

This is one of those bosses that you think is going to be tough but isn’t.

Drake,
Yes, the thing was huge. I figured I was in deep trouble, but it went down fast.

It is supposed to be tough, but you’re very strong due to the grinding and extemporanous leveling due to getting lost from time to time. When I first fought it in the SNES version (Jap) I died like 20 times on a row and was surprised that I finished it on first try on the GBA (almost dead but I did it).
Then again I think I read somewhere that the GBA version had some difficulty toned down from the Japanese original.

Yeah. The SNES version Demon Wall was HARD!
